Immortal Geisha has been created as non-profit
research sites to provide good research material about both courtesans
and geisha on the internet. Although this is a non-profit site,
there are unfortunately many costs that are inherent in any project
like this such as hosting fees, domain name registration and the
purchase of new research materials.
Please help us maintain this site so that we
can continue to expand and provide to you the same quality of information
that we are providing for you now.
There are three ways that you can help us - donate
through Paypal to assist with hosting cost, purchasing books through
this site from amazon.com and other miscellaneous ways. Please scroll
down below links to find out more:-
Donations through Paypal:-
Purchases through amazon.com:-
On the resources pages, you will see that Immortal
Geisha is "in association" with amazon.com.
This means if there is a purchase of one or more
of the books shown in the resource section through the "buy now"
from amazon.com link, Immortal Geisha will get a small percentage
in return. For example - a purchase of a book for $19.99 would get
approx. $0.90 (or a little bit less).
Rather than receiving a cheque from amazon.com
at each quarter year for the amount that has been earned, I've set
Immortal Geisha's account up to receive a gift certificate instead.
This way, any money Immortal Geisha may receive, will automatically
go straight back into purchasing new books to further the researching
and continue the building and expanding of this site.
Please
visit the book review pages to view the books available.
Other methods:-
If you feel that you may have something that will
help with the researching and compiling of Immortal Geisha, please
feel free to contact me.
That could be things such as:-
- Providing modern photographs of geisha or maiko with copyright
permission.
- Sending interviews or articles that I may not be aware of .
- Submitting links that you may feel belong on Immortal Geisha.
- Telling about your own personal experience
with a geisha or maiko.
Whilst all submissions are gratefully received
and are reviewed carefully in relation to their suitability to Immortal
Geisha, I retain the right to reject submissions if I feel it isn't
appropriate.
If you have something else that you think might
be of help to me but you are unsure, just send an email
and ask! Never mind how silly and small it may seem to you, as for
all we know, it might just be something I have been looking for
or needed!
Any people that donate to Immortal Geisha will
be graciously thanked on a special thank you page - no matter the
size of the donation. Your support is truly appreciated!
