Maiko Feeding a Chicken |
 |
Item No.: M0403_002
Original Age/Era: Approx 1915 - 1920
Description: This young maiko was a very popular
model for photographers, as she has been featured in a wide
variety of photographs. To date, this would have to be one
the most adorable pictures of her to have surfaced. This image
has been very carefully restored from the original, and is
of a much cleaner and crisp quality.

Elegant Side Profile of a Young Geisha
|
 |
Item No.: G0403_002
Original Age/Era: Approx 1930's
Description: This elegant portrait of a young geisha
gives us an excellent side profile of her shimada-mage hairstyle.
Her simple, yet iki kimono shows just a hint of fuji (wisteria)
leaves and proves that simplicity, sometimes, is the most
graceful. This image has been very carefully restored from
the original photograph, and is of a much cleaner and crisp
quality.

Young Reclining Geisha
|
 |
|
Item No.: G0403_001
Original Age/Era: 1918
Description: This is probably one of the more unusual
photographs I have come across in collecting. There is something
highly compelling, yet, wistful about this young reclining
geisha that just reaches out and grabs your attention. The
time and effort put into restoring it was well worth the end
result!
