Friends, I know some of you are, like me, studying Japanese. I suggest we list what resources we're using in our journeys.

I'll start off with what I think is the best thing for kanji studies:
wanikani.com
It's a Spaced Recognition System based on radicals. It starts pretty slow, but if you're diligent, it speeds up VERY quickly!

Anyone else have good tools?

I love using renshuu.org

It has a pretty big database and you can create your own lists for study :)

jisho.org is another one of my handy favorites. You can input english, romaji, kana, or kanji, and even search by radicals or draw!

As a longtime learner of the language, I HIGHLY recommend the Genki Textbook/Workbooks. There's two volumes, and they are absolutely wonderful for beginners!

I second Genki. Mary and Takeshi's love story is one for the ages!

App wise I also like wanikani but the vocab it teaches isnt always useful so be careful! I use shirabe jisho from kanji/words I need to look up. I'm currently studying for the kanji kanken (level 8 because my kanji game is WEAK) and the JLPT N3. So im using the shinzen master books and books for native kids. If you want to read for fun I reccommend Yotsubato.
